Since January 2004, the sole owner and director of Convention Wise has been Phil Holmes.

Phil comes from a senior position in a Tasmanian secondary school as Head of Humanities and Business Studies, with years of teaching geography, tourism and outdoor education in Australia and the USA.  He has overseas management experience in a Swiss ski field village and experience in running State and National education bodies. He has a Master of Educational Studies from the University of Tasmania.  Experienced in running events of all sizes during his times as a teacher, outdoor educator and board member of various organisations, he brings a highly professional approach to everything he does. 

Phil is a Member of the Australian College of Educators, an Associate Fellow of Meetings Events Australia, State Chair of MEA Tasmania, and a recently elected board member of MEA.

Jill Lancaster is well known in the industry having spent much time in the early days of the Tasmanian Convention Bureau, Tourism Tasmania, and as an event organiser elsewhere in Hobart.

Jo Scales recently joined the company. She is a graduate from Tas Uni with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Theatre - which all events are!.  She brings experience from call centres and overseas work with a large event company.
