Since January 2004, the sole owner and director of Convention Wise has been Phil Holmes.

Phil comes from a senior position in a Tasmanian secondary school as Head of Humanities and Business Studies, with years of teaching humanities, tourism and outdoor education in Australia and the USA.  He has overseas management experience in a Swiss ski field village and experience in running State and National education bodies.  He has a Master of Educational Studies from the University of Tasmania.  Experienced in running events of all sizes during his times as a teacher, outdoor educator and board member of various organisations, he brings a highly professional approach to everything he does. 

Notably, Phil is an Accredited Meetings Manager, former State Chair of MEA Tasmania, and is serving his fourth term as a National Director and second year as the National Treasurer of MEA.

Joanne Folder joined the company in 2010, after working in a large hotel for almost 13 years, the last 5 as an Event Manager. 

Cathy Craig joined us in 2011, after working in a variety of positions from checkout chick to a data base manager for AEC, and various Commonwealth Departments. She has become our Conference Finance Manager.
