Hobart Airport is situated 17kms from  the city centre.  Conference attendees will be responsible for making their own travel arrangements to the RMHC APMEA Region Conference.

Hobart city stretches along both shores of the Derwent River, and has the lofty Mt Wellington as a picturesque backdrop. Hobart is a city of sails and sandstone, festivals and flavours - colourful spinnakers on the harbour, fine old 19th century warehouses along Salamanca Place, the fun and music of the waterfront Festivals and excellent restaurants highlighting Tasmania’s fresh local food.

Airport Transfers

 

The airport is 17 kms from the city – about a 25 minute drive.

The Airporter mini-bus runs a regular service to the city and major hotels including Wrest Point.  The fare is $12.80 per adult one way and $22 to and from the airport (children: four to 16 years $5.40 and pension card holders $5.60 each way). Ph 0419 383 462


Taxis from the airport to city generally charge $40 - $50 per transfer depending on traffic conditions and the time of day/night.
